A male killed himself outside of U.S. Rep. Beth Van Duyne’s suburban Dallas household Wednesday afternoon, according to authorities.

Irving law enforcement responded to a report of a shooting about 3:45 p.m. neighborhood time, Officer Robert Reeves reported. Van Duyne was residence at the time with some other persons but did not witness the incident, Reeves reported. They did hear a gunshot and referred to as 911 when they discovered the gentleman lying on the sidewalk.

Law enforcement explained there is no cause to think there is a further more threat to Van Duyne, a Republican.
