A white male accused of firing photographs into the property of a Black suburban Detroit family members who put a Black Life Subject sign in their window expressed regret and questioned for forgiveness in the course of a pre-trial court listening to Thursday.
“I’m incredibly regretful of what I did. I can say it’s not like me,” reported Michael Frederick Jr., 24, as he appeared by video in Warren District Courtroom for his arraignment. “I acted way out of character. This was not about the color of anyone’s pores and skin.”
Frederick was arrested Tuesday and faces rates that consist of ethnic intimidation, in relationship to a string of crimes that targeted the home of Eddie and Candace Corridor in the town of Warren, about 19 miles north of downtown Detroit.
