Snyder County will devote a different $30,000 on facade renovations at the Courthouse Annex which is going through a $1.9 million renovation.

The county commissioners authorised the job final calendar year that will involve the former M&T Financial institution located subsequent to the courthouse, and now identified as the Annex, to be remodeled to accommodate the commissioners, Treasurer and Elections offices.

Early in the renovations, which is being led by basic contractors T-Ross Brothers, of Montandon, the county discovered that an addition $73,000 truly worth of steel was required to fortify the building.

They’ve also resolved to shell out amongst $25,000 and $30,000 much more redesigning the facade of the former lender entrance, board chairman Joe Kantz reported.

Commissioner Adam Ewig said the extra cost is really worth the value since it will support discourage the general public from trying to use the entrance which is not accessible to all.

“We want people to use the major courthouse entrance” which is manned by a sheriff deputy, Ewig mentioned.
