Peter Kovler, who lives close by, said he awoke in the middle of evening to sirens and the fire’s glow shining through his window. Firefighters banging on his entrance door warned him and his wife to leave the region quickly for their possess basic safety.
“For the initially few minutes, it was terrifying,” Kovler told WTOP’s Kyle Cooper. “As soon as we acquired outside, we could see that they had been being exceptionally cautious.”
