CLEVELAND (WJW) — Cleveland law enforcement are investigating soon after a 70-year-aged veteran was assaulted inside of his east side house Friday.  His health and fitness treatment employee shot the suspect to assist help you save his daily life. 

Ken Johnson instructed the I-Team the incident happened Friday early morning.  He mentioned he understood the suspect.

“He pounded on the door all over again like he busted it,” Johnson claimed. “I opened up the door yet again and reported what the heck is completely wrong with you. It just acquired even worse immediately after that. He just went wild for some purpose and I do not have an comprehension why.”

He claimed the guy also ruined his electric powered scooters that were being in his garage. He said he named 9-1-1, two times.

“When I identified as the 2nd time she said, ‘You just called,’ and I said, ‘Yeah, I know,’” Johnson instructed us. “I mentioned I need them below quickly I am making an attempt to protect against one thing, it appears like it is going out of regulate.”

He said when police did not get there and the circumstance escalated, his home health care worker fired numerous shots. The suspect was shot in the arms and legs.

“There was not no other possibility, he was acquiring ready to damage me,” Johnson claimed.  “After the shots were being fired we started first help and I identified as again, 911 a 3rd time and advised them fail to remember about law enforcement we need an ambulance. “

Police did not know the condition of the suspect. Officials say it could be numerous times just before the investigation is accomplished.
