Toolstation did a professional analysis of some of TikTok’s most viral DIY projects.
The site showed videos of the trending hacks to over 100 trade professionals who know what they’re doing in their industries.

Furthermore, if it’s too difficult to control high-powered water, you might end up slipping.
The second TikTok DIY hack to skip out on is an IKEA bookcase as a kitchen island.
“With it not being fitted to the floor, this could easily collapse and seriously hurt a small child,” Toolstation says.
Light-up cloud walls are another DIY TikTok hack that could cause you to end up in the emergency room.
Toolstation says: “The mixture of cotton wool and LED lights could easily cause a fire.”
The most popular IKEA bookshelf kitchen island DIY video has over 132,000 views from many people who might be unaware of the danger.
The most popular cloud wall DIY video has over 1.8 million views and counting.
The shower head pressure DIY video has garnered the most attention of them all with over 4.8 million views to date.
